Richard A. Blum is Professor of film and head of the screenwriting track at the
University of Central Florida. He is a former executive and writer-producer for Columbia
Pictures TV, and a consultant for Columbia Pictures. He served as a senior program officer
for the National Endowment for the Humanities. Dr. Blum was a Consultant for
Lorimar/Warner Bros. New Writers' Program. He was Judge and Regional Coordinator for the
Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowships, sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and
Sciences Foundation. Dr. Blum has conducted numerous screenwriting programs, including
seminars at The American Film Institute, Writers Guild of America, and others. He has
authored and co-authored several other books in the field of television and film. |
