| Bolex Style Swiss Super-Stix
The V-sections of the Super-Stix, in
contrast to the tube tripods, withstand the most severe strain in field
work without posing any problems.
There are no tubes already jamming
when slightly dented or buckled, no tube guides susceptible to dirt and
sand, and no stress carrying synthetic parts which break at the first
rough assignment.
Seen from the handling angle the
Super-Stix is singular, too! With a short, lifting motion of the eccentric
levers all of the three legs extend immediately, and lock as quickly (no
loosening and tightening of thumb screws or ring nuts).
The center column may be adjusted,
if required, just as quickly to the optimal shooting height (that's very
helpful for close/macro ranges and neat panning shots).
Stops in the tripod base prevent the
legs on slippery ground (ice, parquet) from sliding off! The advantage of
a spreader, but without its hindering properties.
The upshot of it: The Super-Stix is
operational within seconds and for that reason even used, if time to set
up a tripod actually lacking.
Just 3.8 kg or 8.37 lb (exclusive of
head) make it extremely lightweight!
